Puppy Chow Recipe which makes around 20 Chow's

  • 10 cups of Chex cereal
  • 0.5 Cup of creamy peanut butter (get the best make you can afford)
  • 1.5 Cup of granulated (powdered) sugar
  • 0.25 Cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 Cup of good quality chocolate chips
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla essence

Puppy Chow RecipeMethod

1. Place the chocolate chips, butter and peanut butter into a plastic or ceramic (Microwavable) bowl and power on for 1 minute until the chocolate/butter has melted.

2. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it is all mixed well and add the tsp of Vanilla essence.

3. Place the Chex cereal into a large separate clean mixing bowl.

4. Carefully pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mix over the Chex cereal and mix in well ensuring all of the cereal is coated in the chocolate/butter mix.

5. Measure out the sugar and place into a large thick plastic bag and then pour in the chocolate Chex cereal. Give a quick blow into the bag whilst tightening it (inflating it like a balloon) and shake well until all the sugar is stuck to the puppy chow and coated.
