2oz or 55g caster sugar
6oz or 180g plain flour

one) shape into rounds or shortbread style fingers.
6. Top with a small amount of caster sugar.
7. Gently place the shortbread cookies onto a baking sheet
and chill for 20 minutes.
8. Remove from the refrigerator and bake shortbread in the
oven for 17-20 minutes until golden.
9. Remove from baking sheet and allow to cool on a wire
cooling rack.
